2026 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship calendar has been officially revealed, and it brings a fresh, well-balanced season with nine rounds spread across some of the most iconic hard enduro locations in the world.
Heading into its second season under new promoters, the championship shows a clear and positive direction for 2026. The calendar runs neatly through the main enduro months, offering a strong mix of classic events, returning favourites, and brand-new destinations.
Three new races and a strong season opener
The season will begin in France with Alestrem Hard Enduro on April 17–19. A long-time favourite among riders, Alestrem joins the World Championship for the first time and finally brings FIM Hard Enduro racing to French soil. Its early-season slot makes it a natural and exciting opener.
From there, the series heads to Portugal for the return of Extreme Lagares on May 1–3. Famous for its tough terrain and historic city prologue in Porto, Lagares is a welcome comeback for fans and riders alike.
USA return and double Italian challenge
In June, the championship travels to the United States for Silver Kings Hard Enduro in Idaho. After a well-received debut last season, the event returns with more preparation time and promises another true test, especially for North American riders facing the regular HEWC contenders.
Italy will host two rounds in 2026. The first comes in July with Abestone Rodeo Miravalle, which moves to a new location while keeping its trademark intensity. Later in the season, Wild Woods Extreme, held near Genoa, makes its World Championship debut and becomes the second Italian stop.
New ground in Sweden and a possible date change for The Roof
August sees a historic moment as the championship heads to Sweden for Forza Orza, marking the first-ever FIM Hard Enduro World Championship round in Scandinavia. The event takes place on August 20–22, although it does clash with the Tennessee Knockout.
The legendary Roof of Africa is provisionally scheduled for late September, moving away from its traditional November slot. This change is still awaiting final confirmation but would significantly reshape the flow of the season.
A familiar and demanding finale
The final stretch of the season stays true to hard enduro tradition. Riders will return to Turkey for Sea to Sky on October 8–10, where navigation and endurance play a key role, before the championship concludes in Spain with Hixpania on October 23–25, once again set to deliver a brutal and decisive finale.
