The countdown to the 7th Hiu Selatan International Hard Enduro officially began with a dynamic media conference held in Kendal, Central Java. The event not only marked the relocation of the race from Cilacap to Stadion Kebondalem and Desa Sumberejo, but also introduced a bold new format — including a night-time finale for the first time in its history.

These international stars shared their thoughts on racing in tropical conditions, the physical and mental strategies they’ll use, and the growing impact of Hiu Selatan as a major event on the hard enduro calendar.
“Racing in Indonesia is a new kind of challenge – hot, humid, and super welcoming. We’re all excited for this unique setup,” said Billy Bolt.
“The weather here makes training intense, but the vibe and local support are amazing,” added Lettenbichler.
With riders from 20 countries and over 400 total participants, 2025 promises to be the most international edition yet.
New Venue, New Energy
Local officials and organizers emphasized the significance of Kendal as a host city, with easier access via the Trans-Java Toll Road, expanded community engagement, and the inclusion of environmental and social impact programs:

Tree planting: 1,500 trees were planted as part of the green initiative.

Community support: Donations to 7 local places of worship and clean water projects.

Cultural welcome: A city parade (City Parade) and Gala Dinner for racers and fans.
“This is more than a race – it’s a celebration of community, culture, and extreme motorsports,” said event founder Lau Aguan.
